Pimp My Book is the No. 1 supplier of Secondhand University Textbooks and University Prescribed books. Striving to make education affordable by supplying great quality products at a far cheaper price in comparison to its expensive new counterpart.

2. What kind of books do you purchase?

At the moment we only purchase University Textbooks and University Prescribed books as we currently do not have a means to purchase/supply other forms of Tertiary Education (ex. Colleges) as their teaching materials differ quite heavily.

3. I need to sign up before buying any Offer/Product?

Yes, you will have to create an account on the platform in order to purchase any of our products. This is a requirement because we would like to verify our users credentials so that we can avoid any unneeded complications and provide as smooth an experience as possible.

5. What type of products do you sell online?

At the moment we mainly supply Second-hand and New University Textbooks and Prescribed books. Our online stock also mainly consists of UNISA orientated products but we will be diversifying our stock further in the near future.

6. Are my Payments Secure and does store my Payment Details?

Yes, your payments are secure. All payments are processed via a PayFast Payment Portal which utilizes the utmost of security measures for keeping your payments safe. No, both and PayFast do not store your Payment Details.

7. What are Grades?

Pimp My Book utilizes Grades as a form of scaling the Condition of book to its potential Purchase/Selling price point. So for example: A high grade book, Grade A being the best condition, will be the most costly when purchasing from PMB as well as the most lucrative when selling to PMB.

8. How do Grades work?

Grades fall in a range between A and C and when seen on a product will mean the following:

Grade A – Excellent Quality product, No markings or Damage inside or outside of the book.

Grade B – Great Quality product, Slight markings (being either pencil, pen, highlighter, etc.) inside and/or outside of the product and No Damage to the books contents or cover.

Grade C – Good Quality product, Markings (being either pencil, pen, highlighter, etc.) inside and/or outside of the product and Potential Damage to the books contents and/or cover.
